Jameel Ahmad is currently working in School of Engineering (SEN) as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering. He completed his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from UET Peshawar in 1993 and MS Systems Engineering from Quaide Azam University, Islamabad in 1996.He worked in NESCOM/PAEC from 1996-2001. In 2001 he earned Scholarship from Ministry of Science and Technology for higher studies. He graduated with MSc in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California ( at Los Angeles, USA in 2005. He also completed his PhD course work with Qualifying exam from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon, USA with major in Wireless Communication in 2007.He worked in Qualcomm and Broadcom Corporation at San Diego, California, USA from June 2007-June 2010 on 2G and 3G mobile communication systems. Since August 2010 he is with UMT. His areas of teaching are Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Digital System Design based on Xilinx FPGAs, Control Systems and CMOS Analog Integrated Circuits. His research interests are in Resource scheduling for LTE and LTE-A, analog circuit design for RF front ends, A-to-D and D-to-A sigma-delta converters and DSP for multi-standard multi-mode SDR radios. He also served for 3 years in School of Science and Technology (SST) at UMT where he taught various graduate courses such as Radar Engineering, Communication Theory, Adaptive Signal Processing, and Advanced Topics in Telecommunication, Satellite Communication, Flight Dynamics and Control.
