Highlights of Tech Fiesta 2026

The Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Management and Technology (UMT) successfully organized Tech Fiesta 2026, a three-day event featuring exciting engineering and technology-based competitions. The event brought together students from various universities, providing them with a platform to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, and innovative ideas. Through different competitive activities and project showcases, Tech Fiesta 2026 promoted teamwork, healthy competition, and professional learning among participants while creating an engaging and dynamic environment for future engineers.

Tech fiesta

Tech Fiesta 2026, organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Management and Technology (UMT), is a three-day event designed to bring out the technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and competitive spirit of students. Through a variety of engineering, gaming, and creative competitions, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talent, problem-solving abilities, and innovative ideas in a challenging and exciting environment. The following competitions will be held during the fiesta:

  • Line Follower    - Sumo War
  • Hurdle Avoider   - Balloon Buster
  • Speed Wiring    - Circuit Genie
  • Circuit Debugging  - Mystery Box
  • Robo Soccer    - Idea Presentation
  • Poster Design    - Coding Competition
  • FIFA        - Tekken 7
  • Chess        - PUBG Mobile
  • Ludo        - Free Fire

 

First Day Activities – Tech Fiesta 2026

Idea Presentation

The Idea Presentation competition provided students with an excellent opportunity to present innovative and creative solutions to real-world problems. Participants confidently shared their ideas in front of judges and fellow students, making the environment both inspiring and competitive. Students seemed highly enthusiastic while presenting their concepts, and the activity greatly enhanced their communication, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

                 

 

 

Ludo Competition

The Ludo competition added a fun and entertaining element to the event while also bringing out the competitive spirit among participants. Students actively engaged in the game with excitement and energy, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the activity. The competition encouraged strategic thinking, teamwork, and healthy interaction among students.

         

Speed Wiring

Speed Wiring tested the practical electrical skills, accuracy, and speed of participants under time constraints. Students appeared highly focused and competitive as they worked to complete wiring tasks efficiently and correctly. The activity helped participants demonstrate their technical knowledge while improving their hands-on engineering abilities.

Poster Design

The Poster Design competition allowed students to express their creativity and technical understanding through visually appealing designs. Participants showcased innovative ideas through artistic presentations, making the event both informative and engaging. Students enthusiastically competed to create unique and eye-catching posters, reflecting their creative potential and design skills.

FIFA Tournament

The FIFA Tournament created an exciting gaming environment filled with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Participants demonstrated quick decision-making, teamwork, and gaming strategies while competing against each other. Students thoroughly enjoyed the matches, and the competitive atmosphere kept the audience entertained throughout the event.

Robo Soccer

Robo Soccer attracted great interest from participants and spectators as teams controlled robots in an exciting soccer match. The activity highlighted students’ technical expertise, coordination, and innovative thinking in robotics. Students seemed highly engaged and competitive while showcasing their robotic designs and teamwork abilities.

PUBG Mobile Gaming Competition

The PUBG Mobile competition brought together gaming enthusiasts in an intense and thrilling esports activity. Participants demonstrated strategic planning, teamwork, and quick reflexes during the matches. Students greatly enjoyed the competition, and the energetic environment reflected their excitement and competitive spirit.

Hurdle Avoider Robot

The Hurdle Avoider Robot competition challenged participants to design and program robots capable of navigating obstacles efficiently. Students enthusiastically showcased their robotics and programming skills while competing against other teams. The activity encouraged innovation, technical learning, and problem-solving in a highly competitive environment.

Second Day Activities - Tech Fiest 2026

Circuit Debugging

Participants were challenged to identify and rectify faults in electronic circuits within a limited time. The event tested troubleshooting abilities, technical knowledge, and attention to detail, making it both engaging and intellectually stimulating.

Coding Python

This competition provided aspiring programmers with an opportunity to demonstrate their coding skills by solving logical and real-world problems using Python. Students competed to develop efficient solutions while enhancing their problem-solving capabilities.

Chess

A game of strategy and intellect, the chess competition attracted participants eager to showcase their planning, concentration, and decision-making skills. Every match reflected the competitive spirit and strategic thinking of the players.

Mystery Box

One of the most exciting events of the day, Mystery Box challenged participants to complete tasks using surprise materials provided on the spot. The activity encouraged creativity, adaptability, and innovative thinking.

Gaming – Free Fire

The Free Fire tournament brought together gaming enthusiasts in an action-packed competition. Participants displayed teamwork, coordination, and tactical skills while competing in thrilling matches.

Circuit Genie

Circuit Genie tested participants’ electronics knowledge through circuit design and implementation challenges. Students demonstrated technical expertise and quick thinking while racing against time to complete their tasks.

Day 3 Activities - Tech Fiesta 2026

Line Follower Robot

The Line Follower Robot competition challenged participants to design and program autonomous robots capable of accurately following a predefined track. The event tested students’ skills in robotics, sensor integration, programming, and precision control while encouraging innovative engineering solutions.

Tekken

The Tekken tournament attracted gaming enthusiasts who showcased their reflexes, strategic thinking, and competitive spirit in intense one-on-one battles. The event kept participants and spectators engaged, creating an exciting esports environment throughout the competition.

Balloon Buster Robot

In this thrilling robotics challenge, participants designed and controlled robots to locate and burst balloons placed within the competition arena. The event tested robot maneuverability, accuracy, and control skills while providing an entertaining and action-packed experience for both competitors and spectators.

A Successful Finale

Tech Fiesta 2026 concluded successfully after three exciting days of innovation, competition, and learning. The event provided students with a platform to showcase their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork through a variety of engaging activities. The enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, and volunteers made the festival a memorable experience and a great success. The Department of Electrical Engineering looks forward to organizing more such events in the future.
