Basmah Ahmad obtained her Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, in 2021, and completed her Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from UMT in 2024.
She is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UMT.
Her academic and technical interests span radar signal processing, phased-array systems and waveform optimization. During her BS studies, she completed a Final Year Project on the design and development of a rehabilitation robot, focusing on assistive motion control and patient-centric actuation mechanisms. In her MS research, she worked on optimizing radar performance through interpulse phase coding, evaluating Barker, Frank, Gold, Kasami, and chaotic codes using a weighted performance score framework for improved range–Doppler characteristics. She has hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Multisim and microcontrollers.
