Dr. Muhammad Usman Rashid is an Associate Professor and chairperson in the department of Civil Engineering at UMT. His role involves teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and overseeing all the departmental affairs and works. He acquired doctorate in Civil Engineering (Specialization in Water Resources Engineering and Management) in 2014. His doctoral work involved optimization of multiple reservoirs operation with consideration to sediment evacuation. Usman holds MS and BS degrees in Civil Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. His research areas include water resources management, hydraulics and irrigation. He has over 12 years of national and international professional experience as well as in university teaching and Research. He has authored more than 13 international and national publications to his credit in the field of water resources and irrigation engineering. Dr. Usman has also served NESPAK as Senior Hydraulics Engineer NESPAK.
