For undergraduate (Engineering programs), the merit list will be finalized on the basis of the following:
- Passing of entry Test from Designated Entity / Testing Agency is mandatory
Designated Entity / Testing Agency to Conduct Entry Test
The entry test being conducted would be applicable to all HEIs (Both Public and Privates) as:
- Entry Test being conducted by UET Lahore.
- Entry Test being conducted by NED-UET, Karachi and MUET Jamshoro.
- Entry Test being conducted by NUST Islamabad.
- Entry Test being conducted by NTS
- Entry Test being conducted by ETEA
- Any other existing recognized entity conducting entry test.
Determination of Merit through Entry Test
- The passing marks in the Entry Test by designated HEIs/Entities will be minimum 33%
- The weightages of entry test for merit determination would be minimum 33%
- The remaining 67% weightages (Out of which minimum 50% for FSC/A-Level/Relevant DAE and rest for matric, interview etc.) would be prerogative /domain of concerned HEI subject to have well laid-out and transparent procedure to compute overall merit for admission into an engineering program.
The undergraduate Engineering program merit is calculated in accordance with the following benchmarks:
- 50% of Marks obtained in Intermediate
- 33% of Marks obtained in the Entrance Test
- 17% of Marks obtained in Matric/Interview

- 33% of Marks obtained in the Entrance Test

ICS students with Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Studies backgrounds are also eligible for admission to Engineering programs.
