It is an honourable and joyous moment for UMT and particularly for the SEN that, Mr. Faran Awais Butt, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, has bagged the "Young Leaders Development Award" by Ministry of Planning, Division and Reforms. The prestigious award is given to high achievers in chosen sectors. Mr. Faran won this award after competing on whole Pakistan basis. It consists of a trophy with the insignia of Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms. The ceremony was held at the Pak China Friendship Center, Islamabad, on August 11, 2016.
It is worth mentioning that Faran has also published high quality research papers. He also won a US Patent (in radar area) in June 2015 which is the first ever international patent in the history of UMT.
