Graduate students shall be admitted to this PhD program upon recommendation of the faculty of the EE department. The normal requirements include a strong record of scholarship in a completed Master’s degree (MS) program in electrical engineering disciplines.

  • 18-years or equivalent education.
  • GAT/GRE Subject(Electrical Engineering) score of at least 60% or as per HEC Criteria
  • Cumulative GPA( CGPA) in MS:3.0 or above


Three letters of recommendations from referees who are knowledgeable about the applicant’s ability to perform at the level expected of a PhD student are required. The applications shall be reviewed by the Admission Committee, and acceptance decisions will be made based on a collective evaluation of all the above including the reputation of the student’s undergraduate institution and knowledge and familiarity of the applicants’ references.

Students meeting the above requirements and having scholarships or sponsorships to fund their PhD degree program will be given preferences in interview with admission committee.

Final admission will be granted on the basis of interview with admission committee.
