Mifrah Ali is a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Management and Technology in Lahore. As a full-time faculty member, Mifrah is part of the curriculum design committee, advises cohorts, and supervises students' capstone projects. Mifrah also leads the newly created research team responsible for developing a self-sustainable anti-smog system to control the pollution and the spread of communicable diseases. Mifrah started her career as a full-time master's research scholar in advanced mechanics and design from UET Taxila in fracture mechanics of welded steels. Author of three research papers, Mifrah earned her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from UET Taxila, and her final year project was the development of vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT) for domestic use.Her research interests include but not limited to 1. Development of a self-sustainable antismog system to control pollution. 2. Fracture toughness of welded tool steels 3.
